Millard, Finch Tabbed All-Americans; Bulldogs Complete Competition at NCAA Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Noah Millard and Nick Finch each earned All-American honors, leading a strong performance by six Yale men's swimming and diving team members at the NCAA Championships, held from Wednesday, March 26 to Saturday, March 29, at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
 
Millard earned Honorable Mention All-American recognition after securing a top-10 finish in the 500 free, and then followed it up with an impressive swim in the 1650 free, where he placed fourth and received First Team All-American honors. Finch concluded his impressive first season as a Bulldog with an 11th-place finish in the 100 Fly, earning Honorable Mention All-American honors. He also became the first Yale-first year since 2015 to earn the accolades.

Notable Performances
  • 800 Free Relay (Timed Final): The quartet of Jake Wang, Millard, Charlie Egeland, and Deniel Nankov finished 23rd with a time of 6:15.36.
  • 50 Free (Prelims): Finch finished with a time of 19.34.
  • 500 Free (Consolation Final): Millard touched the wall first with a time of 4:08.69 in the event, earning Honorable Mention All-American accolades with a top 10 finish.
  • 200 Free Relay (Timed Final): The quartet of Wang, Lucius Brown, Nankov, and Finch finished 21st with a time of 1:16.94.
  • 200 Free (Prelims): Millard finished with a time of 1:32.21.
  • 100 Fly (Consolation Final): Finch secured third place in the event (11th overall) with a time of 44.57, earning Honorable Mention All-American honors.
  • 400 Medley Relay (Timed Final): The quartet of Wang, Egeland, Finch, and Nankov finished 22nd in a team record time of 3:05.73.
  • 1650 Free (Timed Final): Millard had a stellar swim, touching the wall fourth in an Ivy record time of 14:28.43, earning First Team All-American accolades.
  • 400 Free Relay (Timed Final): The quartet of Finch, Nankov, Wang, and Millard finished with a time of 2:50.14.
