Iselin Scores First Career Goal

HANOVER, N.H. – There may not be a hotter college soccer team in the nation than Dartmouth right now. The Big Green extended its unbeaten streak to seven with an impressive 4-1 home victory over Yale before a crowd of 1,458.

Freshman Ollie Iselin scored his first career goal for the Bulldogs. It came when he stole the ball in Dartmouth's end and fired a shot through a screen that beat goalkeeper Stefan Cleveland. Iselin's tally tied the score at 1-1 early in the first half.

It remained tied at halftime before the Big Green seized control in the second half by scoring two goals in a five-minute stretch. Dartmouth then added the fourth goal in the 77th minute.

Jonathan Nierenberg was the biggest thorn in Yale's side. His goal at 59:17 snapped the tie and came when he deflected a Tyler Dowse shot in.

Nierenberg struck again a few minutes later on a blast from 25 yards out.

Dartmouth (7-2-1, 2-0 Ivy) hasn't lost since dropping a 1-0 decision to Indiana back on Sept. 8. The Big Green's other loss came two days earlier to a Notre Dame team that has spent much of the season ranked first in the nation.

Goalkeeper Blake Brown made four saves for Yale.

The Bulldogs return home to host Temple on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
