Yale Game Notes
The Yale women's Hockey Team returns to Ingalls Rink this weekend to host a pair of old Ivy rivals. The Bulldogs square off against Harvard on Friday at 6 p.m. before Dartmouth comes to New Haven for a 3 p.m. Saturday faceoff. Both contests air live on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet.
BULLDOGS
Yale (6-5-0, 3-3-0 ECAC) is coming off a weekend split in the Nutmeg Classic at Hamden, Conn. The Elis erased a two-goal deficit with six consecutive goals in a 6-2 win over UConn before falling to Quinnipiac, 3-1, in the championship contest. Sophomore forward
Charlotte Welch and junior forward
Greta Skarzynski each had two goals.
Saroya Tinker (2 points) and Welch earned all-tournament honors.
Grace Lee, November's ECAC Rookie of the Month, gave the Blue a 1-0 lead against the Bobcats in the title game with her sixth goal of the year.
Gianna Meloni made 44 saves over the two games for Yale.
HARVARD
The Crimson (5-4-0, 5-0-0) began the year with five straight wins, including a home win over the Elis, but have lost the last four in a row. The losses have come against some of the nation's best, including the top two teams, Minnesota and Wisconsin, at the Country Classic in Nashville.
DARTMOUTH
The Big Green (3-6-1, 1-3-1), which fell to Yale 1-0 at Hanover last month, have won two of three heading into Friday's game at Brown. They are coming off a split with Maine.
