GAME NOTES for YALE
NEW HAVEN, Conn. –  The Bulldogs, who have equaled the program's longest win streak at six and moved into a fourth-place tie in ECAC Hockey, have a big test at home this weekend. No. 6 Princeton comes to the Whale Friday at 6 p.m. before Yale hosts the White Out for Mandi with Quinnipiac in town for a 3 p.m. puck drop. Both games can be seen on ESPN+.
Â
WHITE OUT SATURDAY
The annual Whiteout for Mandi Schwartz is Saturday at 3 p.m. This event celebrates the life and legacy of Mandi Schwartz, a Yale player who lost her battle to Leukemia on April 3, 2011. The game raises awareness for bone marrow donations through Be the Match and also supports the Mandi Schwartz Foundation. Mandi's brother, Jaden, and the St. Louis Blues, along with other NHL teams, have contributed to the Whiteout. The Blues even skated at the Whale a few years ago to help promote the event. The day includes a Be The Match table, special t-shirts and hats and an auction and raffle with classic memorabilia. Please join us as we celebrate Mandi. Those unable to attend can make a donation

BULLDOGS
Yale equaled its longest win streak (both 1985-86 and 2003-04) and now has its sights on the program's longest unbeaten string, which is seven (5-0-2) games during the 2004-05 campaign. The current Bulldogs are fueled offensively by youth; the top six scorers are either first or second-years and have the team 13th in the nation with three goals per game, while a pair of veteran goalies have shared most of the net work. Yale is 22nd in scoring defense with a 2.33 mark.

LAST GAME
Forwards
Charlotte Welch,
Kaitlyn Rippon and
Rebecca Vanstone hit the net and
Tera Hofmann stopped 23 of 24 shots in a second straight 3-1 win over Brown on Tuesday night at Providence. Yale had a 39-24 edge in shots but went scoreless on four advantages and needed an empty-net tally to put this one away.Â

PRINCETON
The Tigers (15-4-1, 10-3-1) are coming off a 3-2 win over Quinnipiac on Tuesday that has them in second place, five points behind Cornell. Princeton, which owns a five-game unbeaten string, is tied with Harvard and just a point ahead of Clarkson and Yale.
Â
QUINNIPIAC
The Bobcats (13-7-3, 5-7-2), who play Brown Friday, enter the weekend in ninth place and received votes this week for the national rankings. Quinnipiac had won seven of eight games before dropping three consecutive one-goal games, including a pair to Ohio State.
