NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's tennis team will spend the next week in Florida testing itself against a number of top programs. First up is a match at Florida Atlantic on Sunday at 11 a.m.
The ITA released its national rankings earlier this week, and the Bulldogs are once again in the poll, coming in at No. 43. In addition, Yale's team of
Jessie Gong and
Samantha Martinelli remains at No. 3 in doubles, while Martinelli is No. 48 in the singles rankings.
Yale has been off since its strong showing at the Blue Gray Classic two weeks ago. The Bulldogs knocked off Alabama and Auburn to finish third in a very strong field.
Florida Atlantic will pose a challenge as well. The Owls are 5-2 and are coming off a 4-0 victory over Charlotte on Thursday. FAU hosts UT Arlington on Saturday.
Live Stats of the Yale-FAU match will be available.
Following the Florida Atlantic match, the Bulldogs will have a break until playing at Florida International next Thursday.
