Box Score HANOVER, N.H. – The Yale University football team played a thriller at Dartmouth on Saturday, that featured a fourth-quarter comeback and the reigning Ivy League Champions playing into overtime. It was the Big Green however that secured the win in OT, 24-17.
The Bulldogs rallied from an 11-point deficit in the second quarter scored a touchdown with just 2:34 left in regulation to take a 17-14 lead. Dartmouth was able to get into field goal range with 13 seconds left and connected from 32-yards out before scoring the touchdown in overtime for the victory.

It was the Bulldogs who scored first, connecting on a 38-yard field goal from sophomore
Jack Bosman but Dartmouth responded on their next drive to take a 7-3 lead after one. The Big Green added another touchdown to go up 14-3 at the start of the second quarter but Yale answered on the next drive.

The defenses then took over as neither team was able to score for the next 37 minutes of gameplay.
It was Yale that cracked the code as junior quarterback
Griffin O'Connor led a go-ahead touchdown drive that took 13 plays and 5:38 off the clock which ended with sophomore
Mason Tipton in the endzone on a five-yard TD pass.
The Bulldogs, who needed a touchdown to go ahead, went for it on fourth down three times that drive and the final conversion came on the touchdown.
Dartmouth was able to respond however as a targeting penalty and a long pass completion put them in field goal range to send the game to overtime.
The Big Green went first in overtime with a rushing touchdown before the Bulldogs faced one final fourth-down attempt. The final pass went incomplete as Dartmouth was able to come away with the win.
O'Connor and Grooms combined to 30-of-44 for 231 yards with Grooms completing both of his attempts. Rouse led all receivers with seven catches and 79 yards.
The Yale defense was staunch on the ground, holding a Dartmouth team that went for at least 240 rushing yards in each of the past two games to just 85 yards.

Micah Awodiran led all tacklers with 10 stops, including seven solo tackles. Junior cornerback
Wande Owens had a game-high three pass breakups and added seven tackles.
The Bulldogs cap a three-game road swing, next Saturday at UConn, when the Huskies and Elis renew their Connecticut rivalry.
