NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis team completed a strong opening spring weekend with a 7-0 victory over Fairfield at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. The Bulldogs blanked Buffalo 7-0 on Friday.
Two of the three doubles matches were hard fought.
Michael Sun and
Cody Lin won 7-5 at No. 1, and
Renaud Lefevre and
Luke Neal won by the same score at No. 3. The duo of
Theo Dean and
Aidan Reilly had a much easier time, winning 6-1 at No. 2.
In singles, Yale won five of the six matches in straight sets, including a 6-4, 6-0 victory by Sun at No. 1.
Shervin Dehmoubed at No. 4 and
Walker Oberg at No. 6 were among the singles winners.
The Bulldogs face Butler next Friday in Indianapolis.
