CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The No. 4 Bulldogs fell to top-ranked Harvard by a score of 7-2 this afternoon in Cambridge. Yale is now 6-3 on the season and No. 3 in the Ivy League behind only Harvard and Princeton.
The Elis put forth a valiant effort against a deep Harvard squad.
No. 2 Elisabeth Ross and
No. 3 Christy Lau fought back and forth in four-game matches, before eventually falling to their Harvard counterparts.
No. 6 Brianna Jefferson and
No. 7 Aishwarya Bhattacharya notched impressive wins for the Bulldogs, with Jefferson defeating her opponent in a tight, four-game match and Bhattacharya sweeping hers by a score of 11-6, 11-2, 11-3.
On Wednesday, Feb. 9, the Elis will travel to Hartford for their final regular season match against No. 2 Trinity.
