After a week off from competition, the Yale women's hockey team returns to the ice when it hosts back-to-back tilts against Penn State in non-conference action. The pair of games should prove as a good test for the Bulldogs against a solid opponent in the nationally ranked Nittany Lions. Both contests will be live on ESPN+ and available for international viewing on Stretch Internet.
Bulldog Bytes
- Yale (4-0-0, 4-0-0 ECAC) is off to a hot start in the 2022-23 season. The Bulldogs are currently outscoring their opponents, 12-4.
- Anna Bargman is the team's leading point getter with three goals and four assists. Bargman, who is a plus-4, has picked up the first goal for the Bulldogs in two games and has two game-winning goals.
- First years have been a bright spot for the Bulldogs so far. Jordan Ray has three goals, including a game-winner, three assists, and is a plus-4. Carina DiAntonio has also put numbers up for Yale with three goals, one assist, and is a plus-3.
- Emma Seitz and Claire Dalton have been shot-taking machines with 24 and 20 shots, respectively. Seitz is still searching for her first points of the season, while Dalton has one assist so far, but neither should stay off the scoresheet for long.
- Pia Dukaric has been the Bulldogs' ace in between the pipes. The sophomore has posts one shutout and a .963 save percentage.
Milestone Tracker
- Claire Dalton is chasing 100 career points. Dalton enters the weekend sitting at 98 and needs just two points to become the third player in program history to reach 100.
- Charlotte Welch is another player closing in on a milestone as the senior is just two games shy of reaching 100 career games, an achievement that both Dalton and Emma Seitz reached just two weeks ago.
- Welch is also 10 points away from reaching 100 career points.
