ORLANDO, Fla. – In its final spring break match in Florida, the Yale women's tennis team put up a good fight but dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 18 Central Florida.
Caroline Dunleavy earned Yale's point with a hard-fought 7-5, 7-6 (1) victory at No. 2 singles.
At No. 1 singles,
Chelsea Kung was locked in a tight match with No. 96 Evgeniya Levashova. Levashova won the first set 7-5 and the second set was in a tiebreaker when the match was stopped.
Jessie Gong was in the third set of her match at No. 4 singles when it was stopped, and at No. 6 singles,
Kathy Wang lost a three-set match.
The Bulldogs are back home to host Stony Brook on Sunday at 1 p.m.
