BOSTON, Mass. – The Yale softball team fell to Harvard, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning at Soldiers Field. The Bulldogs moved to 15-16 overall and 7-6 in the Ivy League, while the Crimson improved to 19-12 overall and 10-3 in the conference.
How It Happened
- T1 | Carolyn Skotz worked the count for a lead-off walk to start the game for the Bulldogs. Libby Peoples then stepped to the plate and knocked Skotz home with an extra base hit to left center field.
- T6 | Peoples was at it again in the sixth inning as the first year knocked a solo home run to left field to put Yale up two.
- B6 | After five scoreless innings for Harvard, they notched the equalizer on a sacrifice fly to center field and a single through the left side.
- B7 | Three of Harvard's six total hits came in the bottom of the seventh, one being a single to shallow right field for the walk-off winner.
Notes
- Libby Peoples went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, knocking in both of Yale's runs.
- Emma Taylor tossed six innings with two strikeouts.
