PRINCETON, N.J. – First year
Charlie Egeland set a school record in the 200 breaststroke on the second day of the HYP meet at DeNunzio Pool. Egeland won the event with the record time of 1:55.38.
The final scores from the meet were: Princeton 249, Yale 104 and Harvard 252.5, Yale 99.5.
In addition to Egeland's outstanding performance, the Bulldogs had two of the top five finishers in the 100 freestyle –
Deniel Nankov was fourth in 43.47 and
Ben Meulemans was fifth in 43.98. In the 500 freestyle,
Konstantinos Zachariadis placed third in 4:24.13.
Next up for Yale is the Ivy League Championship at the end of the month.
