ITHACA, N.Y. – The Yale men's hockey team fell to No. 20 Cornell, 5-2, at Lynah Rink. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 2-3-0 overall and 2-2-0 in ECAC Hockey, while the Big Red improved to 4-2-0 overall and 3-1-0 in conference play.
Period 1: Yale 0, Cornell 0
- Both teams combined for 19 shots, but the first period remained scoreless.
Period 2: Cornell 4, Yale 1
- Cornell's offense erupted for four goals in the second period. The Big Red scored two goals in under three minutes, including one on the power play, to establish a two-goal lead.
- Micah Berger entered the zone and found Ronan O'Donnell breaking in on the doorstep for a tip-in, putting Yale on the board.
- Cornell closed the period with a pair of goals, taking a three-goal advantage into the third.
Period 3: Cornell 5, Yale 2
- Due to poor ice conditions, the third period was delayed by just over 30 minutes. Play resumed, and David Chen scored unassisted at the six-minute mark to cut the Bulldogs' deficit to two.
- Cornell capped the scoring with a goal at 14:20 of the third.

- Ronan O'Donnell netted his third goal of the weekend and fourth of the season.
- David Chen recorded his second goal of the season.
- Micah Berger picked up his second assist of the season and now has points in back-to-back games.
- Chen was 15-for-25 in the face-off dot and led the team with five shots on goal.
