Bulldogs Dominate CCSU in Home Opener

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale softball team dominated Central Connecticut State, 12-2, at 5K Corral Field, improving to 2-4 on the season while CCSU fell to 0-5.

  • B1 | Yale struck early as Elena Cross walked and later scored on a Fortini single. With the bases loaded, SJ Mull was hit by a pitch, bringing in another run. (YAL 2, CCSU 0)
  • B2 | The Bulldogs extended their lead with back-to-back home runs—Woodridge crushed a two-run shot to left-center, followed by a solo homer from Lauren Perren. Yale added two more runs to take a commanding lead. (YAL 7, CCSU 0)
  • T4 | CCSU got on the board with an RBI double. (YAL 7, CCSU 1)
