NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- 10 members of the Yale coed and women's sailing teams have been named Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-Americans as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Following a fantastic spring season in which the coed squad and women's squad placed in the top-four at all four national championship events -- including two runner-up results -- the Bulldogs finished second overall in the Fowle Trophy standings, just behind Stanford.
Carmen Cowles and
Jack Egan earned All-American honors for the third straight season as skippers in the women's and open divisions, respectively. Junior
Sarah Moeder notched All-American laurels for the third time as crew.
Emma Cowles,
Stephan Baker, and
Mia Nicolosi earned All-American accolades in back-to-back years as skippers.
Ashley Highland and
Elle Sykes also earned the distinction for the second straight season as crew. Fellow crew members
Ximena Escobar and
Julia Miller landed on the All-American team for the first time.
