Hear from Coach Hamilton
On the game:
"It wasn't a smooth, clean X's and O's type of win, it was a gutsy effort and that is something that is going to be more valuable down the road than executing on X's and O's in October. I was happy that they found a way to win."
On his first win:
"I don't know if it's sunk in yet. It takes me a while to unwind from games. I couldn't be prouder of the kids in the locker room. They have been kicked a lot; picked to finish 12th and tonight you had two teams battling for every inch of respect in this league and we came out on top. I was really happy with how they found a way."
On the seniors' role:
"The toughness starts with senior leadership. The way that those guys play, they play heavy, they play hard and they hold guys accountable. Leaders, lead. Tonight we had everyone pulling the rope. It's a mindset. We're four lines deep and we're going to be playing a relentless style from first line to fourth line. On any given night, those lines are going to roll."
