No. 12 Bulldogs Open Season Saturday at UMass Lowell

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 12 Yale women's lacrosse team opens the 2026 season on Saturday at UMass Lowell (1:00 p.m., Watch on americaeast.com, Live Stats).
 
The Bulldogs
  • Yale is coming off a 2025 season in which the Bulldogs went 16-4 (5-2 Ivy League, tied for second). For the second season in a row, they won the Ivy League Tournament and then won two games in the NCAA Tournament before falling in the quarterfinal round.
  • Yale starts the season ranked in three national polls:
    • #12 in the ILWomen poll
    • #15 in the IWLCA poll
    • #15 in the USA Lacrosse poll
  • Yale was picked for third in the Ivy League preseason poll.
  • Senior defender Emmy Pascal (Lorton, Va.), Yale's captain, has received multiple honors already:

The Series
  • Yale beat UML 16-6 last season at Reese Stadium. That was the first meeting between these teams.

The River Hawks
  • UMass Lowell (2-0, 0-0 America East) opened its season with wins over Manhattan and Merrimack by a combined score of 29-11. 
  • Attacker Chloe Bowers leads the team with seven goals. 
  • Goalkeeper Alexa Kuhn has a .607 save percentage and 5.50 goals-against average.
  • UML head coach Lisa Miller coached in the Ivy League (at Harvard) from 2007 to 2018.
