Yale (2-0, 0-0 Ivy League) trailed 3-2 after Quinnipiac's Mia Delmond scored a pair of goals in a span of less than two minutes late in the first quarter. The Bulldogs then went on a three-goal run that included two tallies by Bohan and one by Gould. They never surrendered the lead after that.
Quinnipiac (0-2, 0-0 MAAC) got nine saves from goalkeeper Shannon Alden.
STATISTICAL LEADERS
- First-year midfielder Kate Gould had a game-high four goals (tie), five points and 15 draw controls.
- Junior defender Katie Clare tied for the game high with four ground balls.
- Senior defender Bella Saviano had a game-high three caused turnovers.

TURNING POINT
- After Quinnipiac closed within 12-9 with 9:22 to go, the Bulldog defense held the Bobcats scoreless on their next two possessions – once with a blocked shot and once with a turnover. First-year midfielder Whitney Froeb then scored at 4:59 to start a three-goal run by Yale to close out the game.
