ATLANTA, Ga. – The Yale softball team closed out its time in Atlanta with a 6-4 nine-inning loss to Georgia State University. Yale fell to 2-8 overall, while the Panthers improved to 9-6.

Scoring Summary

• T2 – Libby Peoples got the Bulldogs on the board with a solo home run. (YAL 1, GSU 0)
• B5 – After several scoreless frames, Georgia State broke through. A triple and a single put runners on the corners, and a double steal brought the tying run home. (YAL 1, GSU 1)
• T7 – Yale answered in the seventh. The Bulldogs loaded the bases with one out, and Jane Littleton lined a two-RBI single up the middle to put Yale back in front. (YAL 3, GSU 1)
• B7 – Down to its final at-bats, Georgia State tied the game with a two-run home run to force extra innings. (YAL 3, GSU 3)
• T9 – With two outs, Ella Cross singled to left and stole second. Littleton delivered again, singling to bring Cross home and give Yale a 4-3 edge. (YAL 4, GSU 3)
• B9 – The Panthers responded in the bottom half with a three-run walk-off home run to secure the 6-4 victory.
