SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Junior Kristina Petrova placed fifth in foil at the NCAA Fencing Championships on Friday afternoon at the national event hosted by Notre Dame.
Petrova earned All-America honors for the second time in her career after placing seventh at the NCAA Championships in 2024. The junior went 17-6 to finish fifth overall.
Three other Bulldogs competed at the event. First-year Jia Chen placed 16th in foil. The first-year duo of Sophie Liu and Irene Jung competed in saber, placing 12th and 23rd, respectively.
The Yale men's fencing team will compete at the NCAA Championships beginning Saturday, March 21, at Notre Dame.
