BACK TO BACK! Bulldogs Sweep Dartmouth to Clinch Ivy League Title

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Entering the weekend, the Yale baseball team needed a three-game sweep of Dartmouth to secure the Ivy League regular-season title and hosting rights for next weekend's conference tournament. After defeating the Big Green in Friday's series opener, the Bulldogs controlled their own destiny entering the final two games of the regular season Sunday at George H.W. Bush '48 Field.

In game one, the duo of Tate Evans and Ben Winslow combined for a dominant performance on the mound to lead the Bulldogs to a 3-2 victory. In the second game, Yale clinched its second consecutive Ivy League regular-season title with a 4-1 win over Dartmouth. Senior Daniel Cohen hurled a complete-game gem, while classmate Davis Hanson homered twice to help the Bulldogs secure the No. 1 seed in the Ivy League Tournament.

With the victories, Yale concluded the regular season with a 27-13-1 overall record and a 14-6-1 mark in Ivy League play. The Bulldogs will host the conference tournament for the second straight year as the tournament's top seed. Penn finished the regular season in second place, followed by Brown and Columbia. All four teams will compete in the Ivy League Tournament, which begins May 15. Dartmouth finished the 2026 season with a 15-25 overall record, including a 7-14 mark in conference play.

• Evans delivered a strong start on the mound for the Bulldogs, tossing six innings while allowing just two earned runs.
• Winslow earned the save, pitching the final three innings to preserve the 3-2 lead.

• Cohen tossed a complete game while allowing one unearned run. The senior right-hander was incredibly efficient, throwing just 91 pitches in the clinching victory.
• Hanson homered twice and drove in three of Yale's four runs.

• Cohen earned his fifth win of the season. For the second straight year, Cohen was the winning pitcher in the Bulldogs' regular-season clinching game.
• Hanson hit his fourth and fifth home runs of the season. He recorded the second multi-homer game of his collegiate career.
• Dossa reached base for the 34th consecutive game.
