NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 5 Yale women's crew team is set to compete at the Ivy League Championship this weekend, hosted by Princeton at Cooper River in Pennsauken, New Jersey.
Action kicks off with heats on Saturday, May 16, beginning at 4 p.m. Finals will then take place on Sunday, May 17, starting at 8 a.m.
"We are looking forward to getting down to Camden and seeing how we match up with the rest of the league, said Will Porter, Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "The team is starting to find more speed as the weather has finally turned out for us."
"The great thing about the Ivy Championship is that every athlete in every seat is fighting for points towards our overall team score. From the 1V all the way to the 3V4, every athlete is doing the same thing, putting everything on the line for YWC."

- Battling tough conditions, Yale won the varsity eight, second varsity eight, third varsity eight, varsity four, and second varsity four events against the Black and White.
Ivy League Championship Rewind
- The Bulldogs wrapped up a strong weekend at the championships last season, earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship and capturing the overall team title with 89 points.
- The league's NCAA automatic qualifier is determined by the team that earns the highest combined point total across the varsity eight, second varsity eight, and varsity four races. Yale secured gold medals in both the second varsity eight and varsity four events and claimed silver in the varsity eight for a total of 45 points.
- All Yale crews earned medals, with the Bulldogs also claiming gold in both the third varsity eight and second varsity four, and taking silver in the third varsity four, securing the overall team points title.
