NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. Yale is well represented, with 10 teams earning one selection each.
The Yale honorees are:
Emmy Pascal, an economics major on the women's lacrosse team, helped lead the Bulldogs to their second Ivy League Regular Season title in the past three years. Pascal earned All-America accolades while also becoming the first player in program history to win Ivy League Defender of the Year.
Hope Galusha, a coxswain on the women's rowing team, wrapped up her collegiate career with a fantastic senior season. The cognitive science major was a Second Team All-Ivy honoree and a CRCA Scholar-Athlete.
Hettie Whittingham, a rising senior on the field hockey team, helped Yale achieve one of its most historic campaigns in 2025. The economics major was a First Team All-Mideast Region selection and a Second Team All-Ivy pick, while the team soared to new heights, earning its first NCAA Tournament berth in program history.
Luke Michalik, a standout long-stick midfielder for the Yale men's lacrosse squad, was the team's Academic All-Ivy recipient while also earning honorable mention conference accolades. Michalik, an economics major, recorded a sparkling 3.93 cumulative GPA through his first three years at Yale.
David Chen, an economics major on the men's ice hockey team, served as team captain for the Bulldogs. Chen led the team in points and assists while earning the ECAC Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.
Sylvia Bojarski was an anchor on defense for the women's ice hockey team. The history major played in all 36 games for the ECAC Regular Season Champions and earned Academic All-Ivy recognition.
Amanda O'Donnell, a biomedical engineering major on the women's fencing team, earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time. O'Donnell wrapped up a tremendous career both on and off the fencing strips. She received the Amanda D. Walton Award and the Delaney Kiphuth Student-Athlete Distinction Award, recording a 3.99 cumulative GPA.
Vinni Yu earned CSC honors for the second consecutive year. Yu, a computer science major on the men's fencing team, earned Academic All-Ivy honors and qualified for the NCAA Tournament in his senior season.
Ashley Yen, the captain of the women's golf team, won the Molly Meyer Humanitarian Award. A statistics and data science major, Yen is also a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar.
Sam Davis, an economics major on the men's golf squad, earned Academic All-Ivy honors and recorded a top-10 finish at the Ivy League Championships.
Select Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 7 (women) and July 8 (men).
