Kevin McCormick joined the Yale men’s lacrosse staff in October 2025 as an Assistant Coach.
In his first season on Shay’s staff, the Bulldogs enjoyed a strong campaign that culminated in their first NCAA appearance since 2023. With a roster featuring 13 first-years, Yale delivered a remarkable turnaround after opening the year 3–4 overall and 0–2 in league play, going on to win six of its next seven games and establishing itself as a postseason contender.
McCormick came to New Haven after a stint with Stony Brook during the 2025 season, following a standout five-year career at the University of Delaware. McCormick worked primarily with the defense and also played a role with the face-off and the ride and clear.
A consistent presence on the field, McCormick ended his career third all-time in games played for the Blue Hens. He was a key contributor to Delaware’s back-to-back CAA Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2022 and 2023. Off the field, McCormick excelled academically, earning his master’s degree in International Business in 2023.
