Ernie Bertothy started at Yale Athletics as a full-time intern in the Strategic Communications office in 2003. In 2010 he returned as the primary contact for women's volleyball and various other roles.
In addition to Yale, Bertothy serves as a volunteer umpire for Little League Baseball and Softball since 2000 which included tje 2017 Little League Baseball Regional in Bristol, Conn., and 2018 Little League Softball World Series in Portland, Ore.
Bertothy also works full-time job as assistant director of corporate and public relations for the State of Connecticut.
Bertothy earned graduate degree from Quinnipiac University ('05) with MS in Journalism, and also served as graduate assistant in sports info office for 2004-05 school year. He graduated from University of Connecticut in 2001 with BA in Communication Sciences and served as sports director at WHUS radio. He and his wife Shelley currently reside in Cheshire.
