Jevon Estelle, a former Grand Canyon player with more than 10 years of player development experience, joined the Yale women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in July of 2026.
Since college, Estelle has dedicated his career to player development — training athletes across various age groups and skill levels. He most recently worked as a trainer and sales and membership manager at Swysh Den, a basketball facility in Scottsdale, Ariz. He has served in multiple coaching and leadership roles, including head varsity coach of the girls’ team at North Canyon High School and player development coach with elite professional training programs.
Estelle also brings more than 10 years of experience in business operations, program management and leadership development to the Bulldogs. He is the founder of GRO Athletic and Dream Team Academy, programs focused on elite skill work, character growth and building complete athletes.
As a program operations manager and founder of GRO Athletic, Estelle led the company from startup to consistent six-figure annual revenue. His background also includes nationwide event and travel logistics, standard operating procedure development and cross-functional team leadership.
Estelle holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Grand Canyon. He earned a spot on the Grand Canyon men’s basketball roster for the 2013-14 season via a tryout as GCU transitioned from Division II to Division I under head coach Dan Majerle, a former NBA all-star. Estelle went on to play in 30 games over three seasons, helping the Lopes to three appearances in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament – including a run to the quarterfinals in 2015-16, when the team went 27-7 overall.
