Paul Ulmer joined Yale Athletics in July 2026 as the Assistant General Manager at the Yale Golf Course.
Prior to joining Yale, Ulmer served as the Outdoor Operations Lead at New Haven Country Club, where he oversaw golf shop operations, managed merchandise purchasing and inventory, coordinated tournaments through Golf Genius and supervised outdoor golf staff during major events.
Before stepping into that role, Ulmer spent more than four years in golf services at New Haven Country Club. During his tenure, he assisted members and guests with daily operations, managed tee sheets, prepared practice facilities, supported tournament operations and performed club repairs.
Ulmer also served as a Tournament Operations Intern with the Metropolitan Section PGA, assisting with course setup, registration, scoring, rules administration and media operations at more than 40 tournaments and events.
A graduate of the University of New Haven with a bachelor's degree in sport management, Ulmer also served as a student assistant coach for the men's and women's golf programs, helping coordinate practices, workouts and tournament logistics. He is currently pursuing PGA Membership and is enrolled in Level 1 of the PGA Professional Golf Management Program.
