Bulldogs Sweep 6 of 9 Matches
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Bulldogs secured their second victory of the weekend, defeating No. 14 Virginia 9-0. Six of the nine Bulldogs swept their opponents.
No. 3 Harrison Gill and No. 5 Tyler Carney played especially well. Gill allowed only eight points during his three-game match, and Carney surrendered just six. Carney won one of his games 11-0.
No. 4 Calvin McCafferty was down 0-2 in the early going before coming back to win his match in five.
Virginia was the final non-Ivy league opponent for the Bulldogs, who finished 6-2 in those contests.
The Elis stay on the road next weekend, facing No. 5 Columbia on Saturday and No. 16 Cornell on Sunday. Both matches are noon starts.
