NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Women's Soccer Team looks for its first Ivy League win this Saturday as No. 10 Harvard comes to town for a 4 p.m. game on Alumni Day that airs live on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet.
 
The Bulldogs, playing their second straight game against a nationally ranked squad, hope to avenge a 1-0 loss to the Crimson in the last meeting, a 2019 encounter at Reese Stadium.
 
BULLDOGS
Annie Welch, who had the shutout in the win against St. John's a few weeks ago, is one of two first-year goalies playing for Yale this fall. She made six saves and helped keep No. 24 Princeton off the scoreboard for the first 50 minutes last Saturday night in New Jersey before the Tigers broke through in the second half for a 4-0 Ivy opener win.
 
The Elis, a young team that has had injuries at every position, have goals from seven different players including a pair from first-year Ellie Rappole, who leads the team with five points. Plenty of Yale newcomers are getting their feet wet in college soccer while playing against two ranked teams and a number of other talented units.
 
CRIMSON
Harvard brings a 7-0-1 mark into town following a 3-0 win over Penn last Saturday. The only blemish on the slate thus far was a 3-3 tie with Boston College back on Sept. 9.  
 
Angela Caloia leads the Crimson with six goals and 14 points, while Murphy Agnew has contributed four tallies. The goalkeeping has been handled primarily by Hannah Gardner (5-0, 0.53), but Anna Karpenko (2-0-1, 0.93) has also spent time between the posts.
