NEW HAVEN, Conn. — No. 5 Yale improved to 4-0 on the season on Sunday with an impressive, 7-2 win against No. 9 Drexel at the Brady Center. This is the Elis' fifth win against Drexel in the past eight matches.
In their first match after a long winter hiatus, the Bulldogs proved that they have depth. The team's No.3 - No. 10 seeds all notched dominant victories, seven among them sweeping their opponents and the eighth winning in four games.
No. 7 Jed Burde, who secured the team's first victory of the afternoon, set the tone for the rest of the team with a strong 11-8, 11-6, 11-9 win against a tough opponent.
Next weekend, the Bulldogs travel to New York to face No. 7 Cornell on Saturday and No. 6 Columbia on Sunday.
