WALTHAM, Mass. – The Yale women's fencing team made a statement in its first team competition of the season. The Bulldogs went 6-0 at the Brandeis Invitational, winning all six in convincing fashion.
Yale, ranked No. 12 in the USFCA preseason national poll, defeated MIT 22-5, Brandeis 21-6, Boston College 19-8, Tufts 21-6, Wellesley 21-6 and No. 13 St. John's 22-5.
The Bulldogs are now off until the Penn State Invitational on Jan. 15.
