NEW HAVEN, Conn. – In its final meet of 2022, the Yale women's swimming and diving team turned in an excellent performance in defeating Southern Connecticut. The swimming events were held at Kiphuth Pool, while the diving was at Southern.
In diving,
Paige Lai won both the 1- and 3-meter events.
In swimming, the Bulldogs won 14 events. Yale was particularly dominating in the freestyle events, posting the top three finishers in the 50 free and the top two finishers in the 200, 100 and 500 freestyles.
Alex Massey captured both the 50 freestyle (24.30) and the 100 backstroke (57.51).
Ava Franks won the 100 freestyle in 53.30,
Ally Bernier had the fastest time in the 200 freestyle and
Caroline McCurdy was the 500 freestyle winner.
The Bulldogs also dominated the relays, finishing with the top three teams in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Next up for Yale is a meet at Cornell on Jan. 10-11.
