NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It will be another busy Sunday for the Yale women's fencing team. After posting four wins last weekend at the Penn State Invitational, the Bulldogs are right back at it this Sunday, competing at the Philadelphia Invitational.
Yale opens against defending NCAA champion Notre Dame at 8:30 a.m. The Bulldogs will also fence NYU (11 a.m.), Temple (1 p.m.), Wayne State (2:15 p.m.) and Northwestern (4:45 p.m.).
The Bulldogs have a 10-1 overall record on the season. Last Sunday in State College, they posted dominating victories over Penn State, Haverford, North Carolina and Temple. Their only blemish was a 16-11 loss to Duke in their fifth bout of the day.
Yale will be busy again next weekend. On Saturday, the Bulldogs have their only home event of the season, hosting Sacred Heart and Vassar in Payne Whitney Gym. On Sunday, they travel to the Tri-State Shark Showcase on Long Island.
