Rappole Scores as Bulldogs Tie Boston

BOSTON, Mass. – The Yale women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Boston University at Nickerson Field. Yale moved to 5-4-5 overall, while Boston moved to 6-5-5 overall.

"Our product continues to get better and I'm proud of our response after Saturday's performance to come out strong in the first half," said Sarah Martinez, Loring Family Head Coach. "Unfortunately, we are not capitalizing and converting our great moments into goals often enough leaving teams in games to gain confidence and momentum. Our group left everything on the field tonight and I'm proud of the effort. BU is a very good team that plays fast and hard. Overall, I am happy with how we played, but we need to start turning the product into wins."

  • 2' | Ellery Winkler danced into the attacking third and slotted a pass over to Alanna Butcher on the right side of goal. Butcher found a breaking Ellie Rappole, who finished with a one-touch shot into the back of the net.
