PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Yale men's squash team kept the momentum going with a crucial 7-2 win over Harvard in the CSA quarterfinals on Friday morning at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia. The victory was not only momentous because it marked the first time since 2016 that the Elis have beaten their archrivals, but it also propelled the Bulldogs into the national semifinals.
After narrowly falling to the Crimson earlier in the season in one of the most thrilling matches of the year, the Bulldogs had a point to prove on Friday. Yale flipped the script on Harvard in the biggest match to date.
Arav Bhagwati,
Maxwell Orr,
Nikhil Ismail, and
Brian Leonard all defeated their Crimson opponents, avenging losses from the matchup in January.
Siow Yee Xian continued his incredible season with a five-game win out of the No. 1 position. First year
Lachlan Sutton had the best match of the day, grinding out a five-game victory over Liam Rotzoll.
