NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- First year outside hitter
Ava Poinsett has been named Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week, as announced on Monday, September 29.
Against Brown on Sept. 27, Poinsett recorded 15 kills, 12 digs and a solo block, putting together her second collegiate double-double.
Poinsett currently leads all first years in the Ivy League in kills per set (3.22) and is 10th in the Ivy League in service aces per set (0.32). She is the second Bulldog to win Ivy League Rookie of the Week this season, after
Yuri Park won last week.
The Bulldogs will begin a four-game Ivy League road trip on Friday, Oct. 3 when they face off against Penn at 7 p.m.
