The Bulldogs earned a spot in the tournament after posting a 4-2 record in conference play. Yale defeated Penn 5-4 at home on Jan. 18, handing the Quakers one of their two losses this season. The Bulldogs also defeated Princeton, Dartmouth and Cornell in Ivy League play. Harvard and Columbia are the only conference teams to beat Yale this season.
Tad Carney has been outstanding at the No. 1 position for the Bulldogs. He has compiled an 8-2 record against some of the top competition in the nation. The sophomore duo of Rohan Arya Gondi and Rishi Srivastava has been strong in the middle of the lineup, tallying eight and seven wins, respectively. Junior Lachlan Sutton has performed well this season and reached the round of 16 at the CSA Individual Championships in January. First-year Oliver Velasco has also been a factor in his debut season.
