CANTON, N.Y. – The Yale men's hockey team fell to St. Lawrence University, 5-2, at Appleton Arena. Yale drops to 8-19-1 overall and 7-12-1 in ECAC Hockey, while the Saints improve to 7-22-3 overall and 6-13-1 in conference play.
Period 1: SLU 1, Yale 0
- 3:54 (SLU) – St. Lawrence opened the scoring with a power-play goal.
Period 2: Yale 2, SLU 2
- 3:09 (YAL) – The Bulldogs capitalized on the man advantage. David Chen slid the puck to Micah Berger stationed at the top of the crease, and Berger spun and buried it to even the score.
- 5:49 (YAL) – Dylan Hunt fired a shot from the point that ricocheted off the end boards and found Will Richter in the slot. Richter ripped it home to give Yale the lead.
- 14:42 (SLU) – The Saints answered to tie the game at two heading into the third.
Period 3: SLU 5, Yale 2
- 4:09 (SLU) – St. Lawrence struck at even strength to regain the lead.
- 5:55 (SLU) – The Saints extended the advantage to two.
- 18:59 (SLU) – An empty-net goal sealed the result.
