Bulldogs Down Dartmouth 7-3, Pick Up Crucial Ivy League Victory

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale baseball team picked up a crucial win on Friday afternoon at George H.W. Bush '48 Field, downing Dartmouth 7-3. The combo of Jack Ohman, Tate Evans, and Alex Hwang held the Big Green to four hits, and the Bulldogs' offense came up big in the clutch, leading the team to victory in the opening game of a three-game set.

With the victory, Yale improved to 25-13-1 overall with a 12-6-1 mark in Ivy League play. With two games remaining in the regular season, the Bulldogs can clinch the Ivy League title and home-field advantage in the conference tournament with a pair of victories. Dartmouth dropped to 15-23 overall with a conference record of 7-12.

Key Performers
Jack Ohman started the game on the mound for the Bulldogs, tossing six innings while allowing just three earned runs. He also struck out seven hitters.
Tate Evans was fantastic in relief of Ohman, pitching 2.2 shutout innings. The senior struck out four while allowing just two baserunners.
