NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A late goal by Cornell's Blake Wilks proved decisive as the Big Red edged the No. 15 Yale field hockey team 3-2 Saturday afternoon at Johnson Field. The Bulldogs saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.
Yale falls to 5-1 overall (1-1 Ivy League), while Cornell improves to 3-4 (2-0 Ivy League).

- Cornell went ahead 3-2 with 2:41 to play. An aerial from Rebecca Block in Cornell's defensive zone found Kading at the other end of the field, and Kading crossed it to Blake Wilks for the go-ahead goal.
- Yale pulled sophomore goalkeeper Amelie Schwarzkopf with 2:31 left for an extra field player.
- Yale had two corners in the final two minutes, but one shot by senior back Hettie Whittington was stopped by a kick save from Broderick and the other shot was blocked.
- After a Yale foul in Cornell territory the Big Red used an aerial to get the ball deep into Yale territory, where the final seconds ticked off.

- Yale had a 9-4 advantage in penalty corners and outshot Cornell 15-8. Broderick finished with six saves.
- The game was played with a Nor'easter settling in throughout the area. Conditions were windy throughout, and heavy rain began falling in the fourth quarter.
