BOSTON – A handful of athletes from the Yale men's track and field team competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational Friday at BU's Track and Tennis Center.
Against top competition that included dozens of schools from throughout the country, the Bulldogs had some notable performances. In the 400M, first-year
Jozef Miesak (13th, 48.11) and sophomore
Otis Irwin (16th, 48.27) gave the Bulldogs a pair of top 20 finishes. In the mile, senior
Owen Karas ran a 4:02.33. The top collegiate finisher in that event was Northern Arizona's Colin Sahlman, who placed eighth in that event at last year's NCAA Indoor Championships (3:57.02).
Yale's top finish in the open events came from junior
Finnegan Quinn. He placed seventh in the Open 400m with a time of 48.51, a PR.
