Jake Sun (53.18m) went 1-2 in the hammer.
Of Yale's six top-three finishes at the event, four came from first-years.
First-year
Alexander Johnson's mark of 16.29m, which won the shot put, places him eighth on Yale's all-time list. That was part of an impressive day for Johnson, who placed third in the discus throw (46.50m).
