PRINCETON, N.J. -- Three members of the Yale baseball team earned Ivy League weekly honors, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Daniel Cohen was named Pitcher of the Week, Davis Hanson earned Player of the Week honors, and Nick West was selected as Rookie of the Week.
All three players contributed to a non-conference win over Iona and a weekend sweep of Dartmouth, which culminated in the Bulldogs' second consecutive Ivy League Championship and the program's 10th overall title.
Cohen earned Pitcher of the Week honors after hurling a complete-game gem in the Bulldogs' regular-season finale against Dartmouth. The senior allowed just one unearned run on five hits, clinching the win and Ivy title for the second straight season.
Hanson was monumental in Sunday's finale against the Big Green. The senior captain slugged two home runs, driving in three of Yale's four runs. He finished the week with four extra-base hits, five RBIs, and three runs scored.
West earned his first Ivy League weekly accolade after tossing four shutout innings to earn the victory over Iona on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs will host the Ivy League Tournament at George H.W. Bush '48 Field from May 15-18.
